Ombudsman Service

The Ombudsman Program in its simplest definition is informal telephone mediation. In some cases, it can address and solve minor complaints from the public. It can also solve inter-Realtor conflicts before they become serious problems. Like a mediator, an ombudsman helps parties find solutions.

This free program is available to NOR members, their clients and customers.

The Association has identified and trained members with a thorough knowledge of the Code of Ethics and the Standards of Care in the Ohio real estate industry, as well as the willingness and patience to help others, to provide ombudsmen services.

The ombudsman may advise the complainant on possible avenues of resolution or simply answer questions.
